Rugby World Cup

We really sucked.

By ‘we’ of course, I mean the Wallabies who took the field in Marseilles. The Poms turned scrums into a recurring nightmare for our pack and we simply couldn’t put phases together. John Connolly has described the game as the Wallabies worst performance and he’s not wrong, but what needs to be acknowledged is that at no time during this World Cup have we shown the form needed to win a final.

Sadly, I don’t think that the new national Rugby Competition is going to improve the quality of players who are available for the Wallabies. I also think that there are some serious selection issues for the team with some players who have shown good form in the Super 14 being overlooked for no apparent reason.

At least the bloody Kiwis lost.
